Privacy
This site is run by Rod McLaren, and I publish Find the Fake. I’m the controller of any personal data collected here. Contact: hello@findthefake.co.uk.
The newsletter
If you sign up, I keep your email address so I can send you the newsletter and the bonus case. That’s the only reason. I use it because you’ve asked me to (your consent), and you can withdraw that at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. When you unsubscribe, I stop emailing you; I delete your address when you ask.
The newsletter is sent by Buttondown, which stores the list for me and acts only on my instructions. [Buttondown stores data in the US: transfer safeguard to add once checked] I never sell or share the list.
Visiting the site
I count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or identify you. It tells me things like how many people visited and which pages they read.
Playing case 1
If you play case 1 here, your cross-outs are saved in your own browser so you don’t lose your place. They never leave your device, and I can’t see them. Clearing your browser’s data removes them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data I hold about you. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
